Anita Tofts
11+ preparation, GCSE Maths, English and Science, Piano, Violin, Music Theory and singing.


Anita founded Tofts' Tutors in 2016 in order to offer a professional tutoring service in Kent. Within 2 months, she was fully booked and set about building the fantastic team of tutors we have today.


Anita studied music at Oxford University before going on to get her PGCE degree.  She taught secondary school English, Maths and Science as well as school music for 10 years, before becoming a full time tutor. She is currently studying to become one of the the few fully certified Kodaly teachers in the UK.


Her specialism is adapting lessons for autistic students, and creating an accelerated learning program for piano and music theory students.

Jake Storey
Guitar (all styles), Bass Guitar, Music Technology/production


Jake has a 1st class honour's degree in performance and production from BIMM Institute, London. Not only does Jake have knowledge in different styles of Guitar and Bass playing, but he is also a Music Producer/Mixer. He currently provides both in-person and online lessons via Zoom and Skype. He is particularly good with beginner guitarists as his personality is warm and encouraging. He has quickly become one of our most popular teachers, with a 99% Distinction rate in exams!


He specialises in, and is very passionate about, Rock and Metal music, but is equally at home with Country & Western, Popular music, Blues and more. Because he is such a versatile guitarist, he is able to help students explore their own musical interests.

Xandrija Edwins
Violin, Viola, Music Theory, Piano


Xandrija studied music and performance at The University of Leeds and l’Université de Montréal, and has since performed all over the world.  She is an internationally recognised soloist and has collaborated with Angelina Jolie, Boy George, Russell Watson, Joseph Calleja and Hayley Westerna.  You may have seen some of her performances on the BBC, ITV or at the cinema!


Xandrija now performs regularly in the West End and works for the ABRSM as well as teaching Violin, Viola and Music theory.  Her specialism is in adult learners and advanced players.

Stephanie Wale
11+ preparation, selective school entrance exams, Primary school English and Maths, Violin and Music Theory.


Stephanie studied Music at Oxford University, with a specialism in Violin performance.  She then went on to qualify as a Primary school teacher and taught in private and state schools for several years.  She now uses her extensive skills to help students pass their 11+ and school entrance exams with a 100% pass rate so far!  She teaches remotely from her home.


Stephanie enjoys hiking and playing violin and piano in her free time.  Her specialism is in teaching creative writing and literacy for primary aged children.

Naufal Mukimi
Piano: from Beginner - Masterclass


Naufal is a rising star in the pianist world. He started playing the piano at the age of seven and performed with the Symphonic Orchestra of Uzbekistan from the age of nine. At 16, he moved to England to study at the Purcell School and won scholarships to study at the Trinity Laban Conservatoire of Music and Dance. He won the Young Soloist Competition in 2013 and the soloists’ competition at Trinity Laban in 2015


Naufal is very friendly and and extremely good at creating an encouraging and relaxed atmosphere in his lessons.  His students excel as a result.

Dan Bosinceanu
Flute, Oboe, Clarinet, Bassoon, Saxophone


Dan studied at Trinity Guildhall and the Royal Academy to achieve a Master of Arts in music performance.  His focus was the Bassoon, but he also studied Flute, Oboe, Saxophone and Clarinet!  He has since performed with orchestras across Europe and China, including several in the UK such as the BBC Symphony and Concert Orchestra, Philharmonia Orchestra and the Welsh National Opera.


Dan has a passion for outreach projects to ensure that students of all backgrounds can access the highest quality teachers.  As such, he teaches in secondary schools in addition to his private teaching. He has a knack for making anyone feel comfortable in his lessons and his students make extremely quick progress.

Sue Mann
Art, French, Spanish, German, Italian and Welsh.


Sue is an award winning artist who has conducted public workshops and exhibitions across UK. She has also featured on Breakfast TV and was interviewed by the BBC Street Auction artist.


Sue has a degree in French and Spanish (fluent in both), with conversational German, Welsh, Italian, Basic Brazilian Portuguese, and Russian. She is also proficient in Latin! Sue is an experienced secondary and primary school teacher and is able to support all ages and abilities improve their Language and Art skills. She teaches remotely from her home, or travel to you for a live-in intensive course.

James Liu
Voice coach in Operatic and Musical Theatre Styles


James is a British-Chinese tenor who graduated with a Master's Degree from the Guildhall School. He has had over 15 years of performing and teaching experience.


James was a BAME Fellow with the English National Opera and the Opera North chorus for two seasons. He has recently performed the roles of Calaf (Turandot) with The Opera Makers, the Governor (Candide) with Blackheath Halls Opera. He also regularly performances with the English National Opera, recently covering the role of Remendado in their production of Carmen.


James specialises in teaching vocal technique and refining tone quality.  He encourages his students to develop healthy singing habits, while combining this with language coaching, interpretation and performance skills.
